Mrs. Perry A. Barber of Greensburg died Saturday, Jan. 5, at the Kiowa County Memorial Hospital. She was 86 years old.Mrs. Lena Mary Barber was born August 21, 1887, at Rush Center, the daughter of Zedic and Anna Pauls Barber. She was married to Perry A. Barber in July 24, 1906, at Greensburg. He died in 1933. She had lived at Wilmore from 1916 to 1942, then to Wichita, then to Centralia, Ill., in 1962 before moving to Greensburg in 1971.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Centralia, Ill., and Order of the Eastern Star at Coldwater.
Survivors include one son, Arthur of Greensburg; one brother, Albert Barber of Alva, Okla.; four sisters, Mrs. Lillie Herr and Mrs. Effie Patterson of Strong City, Mrs. Ellen Hull of Waynoka, Okla., and Mrs. Delia Drake of Dumas, Tex.; 12 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; and four great, great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the First Baptist Church at Greensburg with Rev. Jim Poland officiating. Burial was in the Wilmore Cemetery.
Fleenor Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
