The Protection Post, March 14, 1918.

Mrs. J. A. Bauer Dies

Mrs. J. A. Bauer of the flats died, as the notice below states, while on her road home from Missouri. Mrs. Bauer has been in poor health for several years and her death is regretted by Protection and the entire vicinity.

BAUER - Elizabeth Jane Bauer, 54 years old, wife of J. A. Bauer of Protection, Kans., died last night at 214 So. Emporia avenue. They were on their way home from Missouri, where they had been for the benefit of Mrs. Bauer's health, and were stopping at a rooming house on South Emporia for the night when death occurred.

Mrs. Bauer is survived by her husband and nine children. The body will be taken to Protection Thursday morning for funeral services and burial. The City Undertaking company is in charge. - Wichita Eagle, March 13th.

The funeral will be held Sunday at the Mennonite church, the hour not yet being known.
