Obituary: Joe Booth
Joe Booth, son of Samuel and Christina Booth, was born June 7, 1877 at Morris, Illinois and passed away July 24, 1941 at the age of 64 years, 1 month and 17 days.
He came with his parents from Illinois in 1886 to a farm which his father homesteaded north of Wilmore. In recent years he has resided on a farm adjoining the original home site.
Mr. Booth was united in marriage to Addabel Eubank of Tomkinsville, Kentucky on Nov. 4, 1902 at Pratt, Kans. He is survived by his wife, an only daughter, Mrs. Madaline Elwell of Topeka, Kans.; five brothers - James, Samuel, Will, Robert and Henry; three sisters - Belle, Hattie, and Tina; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Several years ago while Evangelist L. C. Bauer was holding one of his meetings in Wilmore. Mr. Booth united with the Baptist church by baptism.
Mr. Booth was well known throughout the community and was respected for the fair dealings and jovial nature. His sudden dealings was a sad shock not only to his family but to the entire community.

Funeral services were held on Monday, July 1, 1963, at 2:30 p.m. for Mrs. Addabel Booth at the Baptist church in Wilmore. Rev. Ernest Lawrence officiated. Mrs. Frances Ridge was the organist and accompanied Walter Smith who sang "Ninety and Nine" and "Rock of Ages."
Pallbearers were nephews of the deceased: Charles Booth, John Booth, Ivan Booth, Fred Booth, Lester Booth and Donald Booth.
Interment was in the Wilmore cemetery, Wilmore.
Obituary Mrs. Addabel Booth, 80, died Saturday morning, June 29, 1963, at her farm home near Wilmore. She was born September 1, 1882 at Glasgow, Kentucky.
She came to Kansas when she was 21 years old. Since her marriage to Joe Booth, November 4, 1903, her home has been in Kiowa county. Her husband died in 1941.
Mrs. Booth was a member of the Wilmore Baptist church.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Madaline Elwell of the home at Wilmore; nieces and nephews of the Wilmore community, Wichita and Kansas City, Mo.
Both Joe and Addabel Booth are buried in the Wilmore cemetery.
