COLDWATER - Robert "Bob" Winter Brass, 85, died Sept. 30, 2006, at Pioneer Lodge, Coldwater. He was born May 18, 1921, in Lecompton, the son of Howard and Jeanne (Winter) Brass. He graduated from Medicine Lodge High School. A lifetime resident of Comanche County, he was a rancher and owner and operator of Coldwater Livestock Auction Co.
He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Hatfield-Prusa Funeral Home, Coldwater. Visitation will be from 1 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial, with military graveside rites, will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
Survivors include: wife, Betty; three sons, Steve, McLean, Texas, Ronald Beeley, Alta Loma, Calif., and Chuck, Coldwater; three daughters, Martha Bewley and Carolyn Brass, both of Pueblo, Colo., and Ellen Sweeney, Leawood; a brother, Jim; three sisters, Betty Goforth, Mary Corliss and Barbara Henkles; 14 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be sent to Pioneer Lodge or South Wind Hospice, both in care of the funeral home.
