The Protection Post, April 20, 1916.

Mrs. Ben Brewer Dies

Monday afternoon the community was shocked by the news of the death of Mrs. Ben Brewer at a hospital in Wichita.

Mrs. Brewer was confined some five weeks ago but was thought to be recovering nicely when she had a set back from which she gradually grew worse. Last week she was taken to the hospital at Wichita where an operation was deemed immediately necessary. Mrs. Brewer never recovered from the effects of the operation, passing from this life Monday afternoon.

Mrs. Brewer was a young woman as you might say just on the threshold of life and a life full of promises. She leaves her husband and a family of four young children as well as numerous relatives to mourn her loss.

The sympathy of Protection and the entire community is extended to the bereaved family and relatives.
