Mrs. Anna Carleton passed away Saturday, January 1, 1977. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 5, 1977, at the United Methodist church, Coldwater, Kans., with Rev. William McFall officiating. Mrs. Bonnie Brass sang "My God and I" and "The Old Rugged Cross" accompanied by Mrs. Hazel McMurray. Pall bearers were grandsons, Ernest Harris, Jr., Terry Carleton, Tom Carleton, Billy Carleton, Steve Hancock, and Don Hancock.

Interment was in Crown Hill Cemetery, Coldwater.

Obituary

Anna Pearl Taylor Carleton left this life to go to her heavenly home at St. Joseph's Hospital, Wichita, Kans., she married James W. Carleton on January 22, 1904 in Coldwater.

They made their home in rural Coldwater all their married life until their retirement to Pioneer Lodge in 1972. She dedicated her life to her family and communtity. She was instrumental in seeing that her children were faithful and active in church and school.

She had been active in the Golden Age Club, Bible Study Group at the Pioneer Lodge, and the Old Settlers Association.

Survivors include daughters, Mrs. Regina Harris, Wichita; Madelene and Olin Croft, San Antonio, Texas; Mary and Roland Hancock, Grand Island, Nebr. Sons, Duward, Chicago, Ill.; Walter and Lill Carleton, New Delhi, India; Tom and Eileen Carleton, Atlantic, Iowa; Edwin and Bonnie Carleton, Goodland, Kans. Brothers, Elmer Taylor, Zephyr Hills, Fla.; Marion Taylor, Des Plains, Ill. Sister, Mrs. Wilma Campbell, Overland Park, Kans., 17 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
