Elijah A. Case Dies Near Leon, Kans.

Was Former Resident Of Comanche County

Elijah A. Case, 77, Route 4, died at his home September 4 following an illness of several weeks.

He was born September 27, 1874, at Bolivar, Mo. and was married to Susan Smith February 25, 1895. She preceded him in death in 1938 and he was married to Ola Reece June 5, 1943 at Augusta. She survives.

He had been a resident of the El Dorado community for the past 25 years and sold Rawleigh products in this territory for 15 years. He lived at Coldwater for several years and lived in Oklahoma for a short time before moving to Leon. He lived at Leon for one year before coming to El Dorado.

He was a member of the Leon Baptist church and the I.O.O.F. and Rebekah lodges of El Dorado.

Besides his widow, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Frances Simmons, Buffalo, Mo., and Mrs. Ruth Metzger, Coldwater; one son, W. A. Case, Hood River, Ore.; one sister, Mrs. Margaret Glover, Springfield, Mo., and one brother, Willard Case, Halfway, Mo.

Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Kirby Funeral home. Rev. William F. Keucher, pastor of the First Baptist church, will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood cemetery, Augusta.

Among those who attended the funeral Saturday were Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Metzger and Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Lytle of Coldwater and Mr. and Mrs. Keith Baessler of Ashland.
