Charles Allan Chance

Young Child Dies In Winfield Hospital

Charles Allan Chance, six year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Chance, Wilmore, passed away Saturday morning, September 3, 1960, in a Winfield, Kansas Hospital.

Charles was born October 26, 1953, at Pratt.

Survivors include the parents, a brother, Steven Ray, and a sister, Vickie Lynn, all of the home, grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Chance, Iuka, and Mr. and Mrs. James Lewis, Pratt.

Private funeral services were held at the Hatfield Funeral Home in Coldwater on Monday, September 5, 1960, at 2:30 p.m. Rev. Ernest Lawence, pastor of the Baptist church in Wilmore officiated.

Walter Smith sang "Beyond the Sunset" and "Safe in the Arms of Jesus" accompanied at the piano by Mrs. Wade Zeigler.

Pallbearers were Wendel Ferrin, Bud Griffin, Jack Bond and Ivan Booth.

Interment was in the Wilmore cemetery, Wilmore, Kansas.
