A recent loss of the Los Angeles, Calif., Express contained the following account of the death of a former Coldwater young man - Ed Chandler, who was familiarly known here as "Bud" Chandler. His parents were early day settlers in Coldwater, and they are well remembered here. They moved from this city to Enid, Okla., during the early 90s and later moved to California. Ed's father, Jason Chandler, is still living, his home being in Los Angeles. His wife was a sister of Mrs. H. H. Rich, and an aunt of Dick H. and L. H. Rich. Ed's sisters, Miss Lotie and Callie Chandler, were among the well known and popular young ladies of our city while the family lived here. Speaking of Edgar's sudden death, the Los Angeles daily says:"Funeral services for Dr. Edgar D. Chandler, who died suddenly of heart failure yesterday morning at his home were held at 9:30 this morning from the residence, Rev. J. H. Atwell officiating.
"The deceased was one of the city's leading dentist, having been in practice here for 18 years. Born in Chicago 50 years ago, he received his training at the university there, coming shortly afterward to California.
"He leaves a father, Jason Chandler, a wife and three children, Philamene, Paul and Robert, and two sisters, Mrs. Dr. A. C. Magee and Mrs. Harry Clamtitt."
