Mrs. Pete Cole, 86, of Coldwater died at the Comanche County Hospital Monday morning of this week following a long illness. She was born October 14, 1885 at Mount Olive, Mo. She was a pioneer resident of rural Coldwater. She and her husband farmed for many years in the Avilla community south of Coldwater.Mrs. Alicetine Kluttz Cole was a charter member of the Antioch Methodist church and of the Merrymakers Farm Bureau and belonged to the Ladies Aid Society.
Funeral services were on Wednesday, July 5, in the Hatfield Funeral Home. Rev. Carl Carrier, minister of the Antioch church, was in charge of the services. Mrs. Fayette Blount accompanied Raymond Cline, who sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and "How Great Thou Art." Pallbearers were Everett Bennett, Clifford Blount, Ralph Deewall, John Booth, Ted Guss and Victor Stark.
Interment was in Crown Hill cemetery, Coldwater, Kans.
