Mrs. Pierce Coles Buried in Enid, Okla.

Funeral services for Mrs. Pierce Coles, who for a number of years lived near the Oklahoma line south of Coldwater and who died October 31, 1953, were held in the Darnell Funeral Home chapel in Enid, Okla., November 4, and were in charge of the Rev. Lester Meyer, pastor of the Bethany Methodist church. Interment was in the Enid cemetery, Mrs. Coles had been in failing health for several years.

In attendance from Coldwater were Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Coles, Mr. and Mrs. Vaugh Coles and Mrs. Lizzie Coles.

Obituary

Emma Susan Coles, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph White, was born March 26, 1878, in Missouri and died October 31, 1953, in Enid, Okla., at the age of 75 years, 7 months and 5 days.

She was united in marriage with John Pierce Coles in May, 1919. They lived in Woods county, Oklahoma, until 1942, when they moved to Enid.

She is survived by her husband, J. P. Coles, of the home; one daughter, Mrs. Belle Thomas, Enid; and one son, Bert Pierce, Alva; one brother, George White, Barnard, Kans., and three grandchildren.
