The Protection Post, January 18, 1917.

Crossley Children

Mrs. Hattie Thornhill received a telegram last wednesday evening week that the Crossley baby was not expected to live. Mrs. Crossley and the children are visiting in Kansas City. Mr. Crossley who was working in Ashland was notified and left for Kansas City Thursday morning but during that day another telegram from Mrs. Crossley stated that the baby had died and that the older child was also not expected to live. Both children were suffering from pneumonia. At this writing Tuesday the older child is recovering but Mr. Crossley is still detained in Kansas City at its bedside. Mr. and Mrs. Crossley have the sincere sympathy of Protection friends in their bereavement.

Resolution of Respect.

Whereas Kishe Manitou in his infinite wisdom has seen fit to send the Angel of Death into the home of our esteemed Brother and Chief, Robert Crossley and wife.

Therefore be it resolved that we, the members of Comanche Tribe No. 152, Improved Order of Redmen, hereby tender to our esteemed chief and brother, our heartfelt sympathy and condolence in this hour of their bereavement.

RESOLUTIONS OF RESPECT -- Whereas, Kishe Manitou in his infinite wisdom has seem fit to call from the forest of life the sister of our esteemed chief and brother, Ray Scovell. Therefore be it resolved that we the members of Comanche Tribe No. 152, Improved Order of Redmen, tender our heartfelt condolence to our esteemed chief and brother in this hour of his bereavement.
