The Western Star, September 3, 1909.

Death Comes to Home of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Dale.

James Torrey Dale, aged 11 months and 14 days, son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Dale of this city, died at 2:10 p.m. on last Saturday after an illness of a little over a week. The child's sickness began with an attack of whooping cough. Complications followed, ending in spinal meningitis. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. J. C. Bigbee of the Presbyterian church at the home on Sunday afternoon after which burial was made in the Coldwater cemetery. The sorrowing parents have the sympathy of all in this hour of their sad bereavement.
