Mrs. Donald Darnell who had been in the Comanche County Hospital since last Christmas and who had spent more than a year in hospitals, passed away in the hospital in this city Tuesday of this week. She had been in failing health during the past two years. Lucemia was given as the cause of her death.Funeral services were held in the Assembly of God in this city Thursday of this week and were in charge of the pastor, Rev. I. D. Rayborn. Mrs. Martha Zerby and Mrs. Ferrel Guizlo sang "Rock of Ages" and "Jesus Savior Pilot Me" and Gene Gates sang "Beyond the Sunset." The accompanist was Harriette Murry.
Interment was in Crown Hill cemetery near this city. The pallbearers were Bobby, Richard, Virgil and James Hoffman, John Bliss and Robert Mahoney.

Wanda Belle Hoffman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Hoffman, was born January 4, 1924, at Coy, Okla., and departed this life June 5, 1951, at the Comanche County Hospital, at the age of 27 years, 5 months and 1 day. All the tireless and tender efforts of the physician and nurses were of no avail.On May 8, 1943, she was united in marriage with Donald B. Darnell, at Alva, Okla. To this union were born two children, Roy, age 4, and Charlotte, age 2. She was converted and united with the Assembly of God when a child and lived a devoted Christian life until her home going. Wanda Belle was gifted with a good voice and used it in singing while they were in active gospel work. She was preceded in death by one sister, Ruby, and one brother, Johnny.
She leaves to mourn, besides her husband, children and parents, three sisters, Mrs. Helen Ring, of Bloom, Kans.; Mrs. Nellie Ellis, of Wichita, Kans.; and Marie Hoffman of Coldwater; two brothers, Howard, of North Platt, Nebr., and Gene of the home; also one niece, Mrs. Melvin Smith, of Omaha, Nebr., other relatives and a host of friends.
She was a devoted wife and mother and will be greatly missed by all. The sorrowing relatives have the sympathy of the entire community.
