Obituary

Nettie Darrow was born in Richland, Mo., January 5, 1890 and left this life in the early morning hours of March 6, 1967 at the age of 77 years, 2 months and 1 day.

She was the daughter of Harvey and Margaret Parsons and was married to Lee Edgar Darrow in April 1920.

They came to Comanche county and settled southwest of Coldwater in the Twin Hill community. They spent their remaining years in this community until Mr. Darrow's health compelled him to give up farming and they moved back to their old home near Pryor, Okla., but soon returned to Coldwater. Here Mrs. Darrow had lived since her husband's death in June 1964.

She felt her health was failing and asked to be taken to Pioneer Lodge and on Monday, February 20, entered that home. On Tuesday morning, February 21st, she was stricken with a heart attack and was transferred to the Comanche County Hospital where she remained until her death.

She was a good, kind, and dependable neighbor and delighted in doing things for others. Always ready and willing to help in any way she could where help was needed.

She leaves to mourn her passing, her daughter, Isabell, and son-in-law, Willis Schenk, one brother, Will Parsons of Salina, Okla., and several nieces, nephews and friends.
