Naomi Ruth Denny, aged 5 years, 11 months and 6 days, and a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. V. V. Denny of this city, died at 2:30 p.m. on last Saturday, Oct. 9, 1920, after an illness of about three weeks, the result of scarlet fever and complications. Everything possible was done for the sufferer, but human skill proved inadequate to stay the progress of the disease. Burial was made on Saturday afternoon in the Coldwater cemetery, following funeral services which were conducted by Rev. L. F. Abernethy of the Methodist Episcopal church. Many hearts grieve because of the death of this promising young girl. She was liked by all her associates in school and Sunday school, and in the home her presence, which always brought sunshine and cheer, will be greatly missed. To the bereaved family the heart felt sympathy of all who goes out in this hour of their sad affliction.
