The Protection Post, March 13, 1980.

EVA C. DICKSON

Eva C. Dickson, 84, died March 4, 1980, after a short illness, at the Comanche County Hospital, Coldwater. Born Eva C. Stringer, March 25, 1895, at Jackson Parrish, LA, she married Leo Dickson, October 2, 1916, at Nashville, Ark. He died in 1976. She lived in the Protection area since 1916 and was a member of the Christian Church of Protection.

Memorial services were held, Friday, March 7, 1980, at the Christian Church. A nephew, David Webb, Paragould, Ark., assisted by Brother Phil Ashley of the church, conducted the services. Brother Ashley and Reb. Webb sang a duet, accompanied by Mrs.. Wayne Woolfolk, organist.

Pall bearers were Gary Long, John Reger, Rusty Craine, Randy Weaver, Charley Herd and Stewart Herd. Interment, Protection Cemetery.

Survivors include daughters, Mrs. Merle (Leona) Long, Protection; Mrs., David (Billie) Slade, Orange, CA; and Mrs. Buddy (Norma) Reger, Canyon, TX; also sisters, Mrs. Johnny Webb, Paragould, Ark.; and Mrs., Faye Burnett, Albuquerque, N.M.; twelve grandchildren, nine great grandchildren.
