Elsie Mae Evans

Elsie Mae "Mazie" (Hall) Evans, 71, died of cancer, Jan. 22, 1997 at The Hospice of Metro Denver Care Center, in Denver, Colo.

She was born May 25, 1925, at Coats, to Richard Hurst Hall and Blanche Beeney Hall.

She lived at Pratt and Wichita many years, and Denver since 1980. Elsie was a federal government accountant.

On Sept. 26, 1947, she married Paul Evans at Pratt. The marriage ended in divorce.

Survivors are Paul Evans of Wichita; one son, Jeffrey Evans and wife Karen of St., Joseph, Mo.; one daughter, Sharon Evans and her husband, Brad Miner of Bellevue, Wash.; one brother, Richard Hall of Pratt; one sister, Helen Mizer of Wichita; and two grandchildren, Sean and Chadd.

Cremation took place. Funeral service was Jan. 27, 1997 at Fleener Chapel in Greensburg with Rev. Lawrence Lambert, Jr. officiating.

Memorials may go to The Hospice of Metro Denver in care of Fleener Funeral Home, Greensburg, Kans. 67054.


Her ashes were placed in the Wilmore Cemetery.
