From last week's Wilmore News.Dan Fisher was born in Nobelville, Ind., August 2, 1882, and died at his home in Minerals Wells, Texas, August 26, 1923, at the age if 41 years and 26 days. Dan was a son if William E. and Nancy M. Fisher, pioneers of Comanche county. Dan moved with his parents to Kansas when only eight years old and spent the greater part of his life on a ranch northwest of Wilmore. He has had very poor health the past three years, being afflicted with Bright's disease, which was the cause of his death. Endeavoring to improve his health he spent several months at Siloam Springs, Ark., and the past year at Mineral Wells, Texas.
Dan was married on December 23, 1919, to Miss Edith Van Fossan of Greensburg and to this union two children were born. He leaves to mourn his loss a wife and two children, two brothers, Geo. Fisher of Wilmore, Barney Fisher of Boise City, Okla., two sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Newlin of Del Norte, Colo., and Mrs. India Behler of Wilmore, and a host of friends.
He was converted while at Mineral Wells on the 22nd of last April, obeyed the gospel and united with the Church of Christ.
The pastor of the Christian church of Greensburg preached the funeral service in the Wilmore Christian church Wednesday afternoon and interment was made in the Wilmore cemetery.
