BELOVED RESIDENT PASSES

Mrs. Maggie Fisher passed away at the Achenbach Memorial Hospital Sunday evening at 6 P.M. Mrs. Fisher became critically ill Tuesday evening after being taken to the hospital Tuesday noon, from injuries and shock received in a car accident. Mrs. Octia Redfield had taken her mother to Hardtner, Tuesday morning for medical treatment and they were on their way back to Wilmore when they struck loose gravel on the highway between Hardtner and Medicine Lodge which threw them into the ditch at the side of the road. Mrs. Fisher suffered a broken leg and severe cuts on her lip and chin when the impact hurled her against the dashboard of the car. Mrs. Redfield was uninjured. Three men on their way to Kiowa came along immediately following the accident and took them back to the Hardtner Hospital. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 at the Christian Church.

MRS FISHER LAID TO REST

Funeral services for Mrs. Maggie Fisher were held Wednesday, July 16, at 2:30 P.M. in the Christian Church with the pastor, Rev. Carlton Garrison of Enid, Okla., in charge. He brought a splendid message using as the main text one of her favorite scriptures, "Precious in the Sight of the Lord is the Death of his Saints," and quoted many others.

A mixed quartet, Mrs. Austin Cobb, Mrs. Wayne Flory, Ray Bigbee and Nick Baker sang " The Lord Know Why" and "Goodnight and Good Morning," Delmar Horner sang a beautiful solo, "Death is Only a Dream." Mrs. Nick Baker presided at the piano.

Pall bearers were C. O. Masterson, F. H. Moberley, H. J. Pendergraft, Fay Smith, Chris Nielsen, and T. C. Pepperd. The beautiful floral tributes bore mute testimony of love and devotion of her relatives and many friends. Interment was in the Wilmore cemetery by the side of her husband.

A precious one from us has gone
A voice we loved is stilled
A place is vacant in our home
Which can never be filled
God in his wisdom has recalled
The boon his love had given
And though the body slumbers here
The soul is safe in heaven.
