The Protection Post, December 26, 1918.

HONOR BELONGS TO PROTECTION.

Last week the Coldwater Talisman reported the arrival of Dewey Bullock home from France where he saw active service in the big drive at Soissons which was begun in July. Dewey was in the base hospital near Cheateau-Thierry and also in a hospital at New York some six weeks. He saw some of the very _____ of the fighting and experienced, in his injuries some of the misfortunes of war, but was fortunate enough to come through them and return to his home.

The Talisman mentions him as being Comanche County's first soldier to return home from France, but in this the Post cannot let Coldwater have the honor, as Grover ("Happy") Fralicek gave his story of his experiences to the Post, as published in last weeks issue, on Thursday, Dec. 12, the day before Dewey arrived home. Happy had been in Protection then about a week. To Protection belongs the honor of the first soldier home from service in France.
