The Protection Post, February 7, 1918.

Mrs. Gearhart Dies

Last Saturday night Mrs. Louise Frances Gearhart, who has been suffering from paralysis for quite a time passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lillie Fravel of Protection. Mrs. Gearhart had made her home in Protection with her daughter for more than a year. Some three or four weeks ago she suffered a severe stroke of paralysis and was never able to overcome the shock. The remains were taken to Larned, Kansas, Monday morning for burial in the Larned cemetery. She leaves to mourn her loss two daughters, Mrs. Lillie Fravel and Miss Minnie Christian, and a granddaughter, Mrs. J. L. King of Protection. Mr. Flowers of Coldwater accompanied the remains to Larned.
