Funeral services for Gloyd Cliston Hadley Jr., were held at the Methodist church in Coldwater on Saturday, September 2, 1967, at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Wm. A. Hawes of Hutchinson and Rev. Oren Bradford of Arkansas City officiated. Mrs. Hazel McMurray, organist, accompanied Walter Smith, who sang "How great Thou Art" and "I Believe."Pallbearers were Bill Weatherbee, Victor Kropf, Jimmy Haas, Ronnie Beeley, Bob Huck and Richard Blount. Honorary pallbearers were Garth McMillen, Carl Burkhall, Kenneth Colter, Lonnie Pope, Jim Downing and Jim Ward.
Interment was in the Crown Hill Cemetery, Coldwater.
Obituary. Gloyd C. Hadley, Jr., son of Gloyd C. and Mary Hadley, was born on September 22, 1945, at Hardtner, Kansas, and departed this life on August 29, 1967, at the age of 21 years, 11 months and seven days.
Junior was a lifetime resident of Coldwater, Kansas, graduating from the Coldwater High School in 1963. He attended Junior College at Hutchinson for two years and was enrolled at Wichita State University for his second year as a business major at the time of his death.
Gloyd Junior was united in marriage with Linda White of Coldwater on September 3, 1966, and they were making their home at 1743 Fairmont in Wichita, while attending school there.
Junior was a member of the Coldwater Friends Church. He was enrolled as a member of the R. O. T. C. while attending college and was employed part time with the General Electric Credit Corporation.
His untimely death came as a result of an automobile accident in which his employer was also seriously injured.
He is survived by his wife, Linda; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gloyd Hadley, Sr., three brothers, Curtis of Hialeah, Fla., Norman of Coldwater and Enos of Topeka; two sisters, Mrs. Ray Smith (Nadine) of Greensburg and Mrs. G. M. Lynch (Patricia) of Clarion, Iowa. Fourteen nieces and nephews, together with many other relatives and friends mourn his loss.
