(Editors note: The Star editor several weeks ago lost a note book containing some items. The book has just been found. It contained an item about the death of a well known former Comanche county man and because of its importance we print the item at this time as matter of record.)

Frank V. Harter, a former Coldwater farmer, died suddenly on January 5 while walking along a street in Colimbia, Mo. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon, January 7, in the Parker Funeral Home in Columbia and burial was in Memorial Park cemetery in that city. Among those attending the services were Mr. Harter's sisters, Mrs. Roy Deewall and Mrs. Mac H. Meyers, and a nephew, John Deewall, of Comanche county.

Mr. Harter was born in Topeka, Kans., May 23, 1887, and died at the age of 61 years, 7 months and 13 days. He moved to Great Bend and later to San Francisco, where he was engaged in office work until 1912, when his father died. He then moved to Comanche county and engaged in farming until 1922, when he and his family moved to Columbia, Mo.

On November 27, 1918, he was united in marraige in Washington, Kans., with Miss Amy Thiele. He is survived by his wife, five children, John of Oklahoma City, Paul of Beloit, Wis., Ruth of Ventura, Calif., Laura Thiels of the home and William of Fort Sill, Okla.; also by two sisters, Mrs. Roy Deewall of Wilmore and Mrs. Mae Meyers of Coldwater. He was a member of the Presbyterian church many years and was an upright citizen and a kind and loving husband and father.
