Mrs. T. C. Heaton died on July 12 at the home of her son, Homer Heaton, in Capron, Okla., where she was making her home. Her age at the time of her death was a little past 84 years. She had been in failing health for some time. Mrs. Heaton and her husband were early day settlers in Avilla-tp., in this county and were well known here. They moved to Oklahoma during the early 90s. Mr. Heaton died several years years ago. Two of their daughters - Mrs. Wm. Oller and Mrs. Geo. Overocker - live in this county. They were present at the funeral, which was held at Capron on July 13. Grandma Heaton was known and loved by a large circle of devoted friends. During her long and eventful life she had given cheerfully of her time and labor to help alleviate suffering, to comfort the sorrowing and to administer to the needs of those about her, and for that reason she had won the friendship of all who knew her. Her life was spent in doing good in every way possible, and hence was well spent. Her memory will long be cherished by many people in this county.
