Word reached this city this week of the death on May 1 in VanNuys, Calif. of Mrs. Geo. W. Hollenback, who was well known to all the old settlers in Comanche-co. She had been in unusually good health for one of her age up to within two months of her death, and the fatal illness was only of a week's duration. She is survived by her husband two sons and one daughter - George Hollenback of Los Angeles, Ben Hollenback whose home is in Montana, and Mrs. Martha Williams at Rio Hondo, Texas. One daughter, Lottie, died during the World War. Burial was made at Bethel Kansas, where the family lived for some time before going to California. The Hollenback family were early settlers in Logan-tp., this county, and continued to live here until about 20 years ago, when they moved to the northeastern part of the state. Mrs. Hollenback is remembered here as a fine type of the pioneer woman who helped to settle this county. She was a good neighbor and a friend to all. Her passing away will be mourned by a host of friends.
