Friday of this week is Jabara Day in Wichita, at which time the people of that city and Kansas honor the first jet ace in history - Jimmy Jabara - with a parade, bands and everything.Capt. Jabara, who has been featured recently in all daily newspapers of the United States and Life magazine, is a son of John Jabara, Wichita grocer, whose cousin, M. H. Mike built the brick building, now occupied by the Rural Gas & Electric Co., and the residence in which Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Herd (sic - probably meant B.J. Herd) now live.
John Jabara and his family, including the now world famous flier, attended the wedding of one of two daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Jabara in this city.
