She was united in marriage June 23, 1927, with Charles R. Jackson in the Wilmore Methodist church. To this union two daughters were born, Charlene and Eleanor. Grace was united with the Presbyterian church of Coldwater on March 14, 1915. She later became an active 4-H leader in her community and a member of the Coldwater Chapter No. 224 Order of Eastern Star.

Preceding her in death were her mother and father. She is survived by her husband, Charles, and daughters, Mrs. Charles Wood, of Anthony, Kans., and Mrs. Eleanor Haun of Coldwater; two sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Oller of Wichita, Kans., and Mrs. Luella Rody, Little Rock, Ark.; three brothers, Ross and Fred Nokes of Salinas, Calif., and Milton of Coldwater; three grandchildren, Andrea and Charles Haun of Coldwater and Mark Wood of Anthony; also numerous relatives and friends. She was always cheerful and brave in her long illness. She was a good wife, mother and friend.

I cannot say, and I will not say
That she is dead. - She is just away!
With a cheery smile, and a wave of the hand,
She has wandered into an unknown land.
And left us dreaming how very fair
It needs must be since she lingers there.
And you - O you, who the wildest yearn
For the old time step and the glad return.
Think of her faring on, as dear
In the love of There as the love of Here;
Think of her still as the same, I say:
She is not dead, she is just away!
