Richard W. Jarnagin, 66, Coldwater, died Monday evening, December 13, 1971, after a heart attack while working for Hod Rich on a farm near Camp Lark south of Coldwater.Funeral services were held on Wednesday, December 15, 1971, at 2 p.m. at the Hatfield Funeral Home in Coldwater, Kans., with Bernard Plumb officiating.
Larry Hatfield sang "Ivory Palaces" and "When You Take Your Vacation in Heaven," accompanied by Mrs., Hazel McMurray, organist.
Pallbearers were Carl Burkhall, Bill Neukirch, Charles Sanders, Waldo Riner, Leroy Shelton, and Harry Lohrding.
Honorary pallbearers were Floyd Fleming, Horace Rich, Ivor Pounds, Winston Williams, Lennis Herd, and George Scholle.
Interment was in Crown Hill cemetery, Coldwater, Kans.
Obituary. Richard W. Jarnagin was born May 21, 1906 at Coldwater and passed away Monday evening, December 13, 1971. He married Bessie Nicholas August 27, 1927 at Alva, Okla. He was a lifelong resident of Coldwater.
He was a member of the Christian church.
Survivors include the widow; daughters: Mrs. Je_lene Brecherson, Garden City, and Mrs. Joyce Comfort, Washington, D. C.; son: Gary, Protection; seven grandchildren.
