Funeral services for Mrs. Ray Lidikay, who passed away in Colorado Springs, Colo., November 19, were held in the Coldwater Methodist church Wednesday, November 23 at 2 o'clock p.m. The services were in charge of the pastor, Rev. Donald A. Kessler.Rev. and Mrs. Herschel Thornburg sang "Crossing the Bar" and "Lead Kindly Light," accompanied on the organ by George Wolf.
Burial was in Crown Hill cemetery by the side of Mrs. Lidikay's father, Dr. R. C. Korff, who passed away December 17, 1947. The casket bearers were Charles, James and Victor Allderdice, C. O. Lyon, Charles R. Jackson and Horace H. Rice.
Obituary Nettie Louise Korff was born March 17, 1906, the second daughter of Dr. and Mrs. R. C. Korff of Coldwater, Kans.
She was graduated from the home-town schools in 1923 and afterward attended Baker University, Baldwin, Kans., for three years. Illness prevented her final year of graduation.
She joined the Coldwater Methodist church at the age of ten and held her membership in this church until five years ago, when she and her husband united with the First Presbyterian church of Colorado Springs, Colo. Her faith in God remained firm throughout her life.
In June, 1928, she was married to Raymond E. Lidikay of Wellsville, Kans. They first lived in Kansas City, Mo., and for health reasons she lived for a time in Roswell, New Mexico, and in the Norton Sanatoriun, Norton, Kans. Eleven years ago they moved to Colorado Springs, Colo.
There, although limited in strength, she was able to enjoy her home and friends, her church and clubs, and travels with her husband.
She was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority and held active office in A. A. U. W. and Panhellenic organizations until her recent illness.
Her extended illness did not dim her brave, bright spirit or her alert mind. She had varied interests and many friends. Her courage and good cheer were an inspiration to all who knew her well.
For the past six months she had been a patient in the Glockner-Penrose hospital, in Colorado Springs, and there, in the early morning of November 19, 1949, during a quiet sleep, she passed over into the Better Land to be with God and her loved ones gone before. Her faithful husband and her brother, Robert, were with her in her final illness.
To mourn her departure she leaves relatives and many friends and her immediate family. Her husband, R. E. Lidikay, Colorado Springs; her mother, Mrs. R. C. Korff, Coldwater; four sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Kathryn Maad, Pratt, Mrs. Mary Caywood, Coldwater, Mrs. Josephine Barker, Chicago, Ill., Mrs. Roberta Jennings, Chattanooga, Tenn.; Robert C. Korff, Jr., Tustin, Calif., and Charles H. Korff, Garden City, Kans.
