Vernon Love

Vernon Love, 70, died Monday, April 4, 1988, at the Kiowa County memorial Hospital. He was born Dec. 14, 1918, at Mercer, Mo., and married Fleeta Grimes Dec. 7, 1940, in Laverne, Okla.

Love was a member of the Coldwater Presbyterian Church, Chamber of Commerce, Big Red Booster Club and Coldwater Pleasure Club.

He is survived by his wife Fleeta of the home; two sons, Jerald of Bremerton, Wash., David of Coldwater; three daughters, Vera Parker of Dodge City, Betty Love, Wichita, Sheryl Carpenter, Peck; one brother, Dean, Wichita; three sisters, Ellen Potts, Kinsley, Odessa Morian, Wichita, Bessie King, Wichita; four grandchildren.

Funeral will be 10 a.m. Friday, April 8, at Hatfield-Prusa Funeral Home, with Rev. Arthur Peterson officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Laverne.

Family suggests memorials to Kiowa County Memorial Hospital.
