The body of Walter Martin was brought to Protection from his home in Kansas City, Mo., Saturday afternoon and taken to Charleston, Okla., Sunday where interment was held. The deceased formerly lived near Charleston. Several years ago he went to Kansas City where he had been in the street car service. Two weeks ago he was taken with pneumonia, and only lived eleven days, after being stricken. He was the oldest child, being 27 years of age and was in the draft list class A. He leaves parents, three sisters and two brothers. He was buried beside a younger brother who died several years ago and is buried in the family burial ground near Charleston, Okla.The body was accompanied to Protection by his parents Fred Martin and wife of Denver, Colo., who met it at Rago, Kansas, and Ed Snyder, an uncle from Kansas City, and also Mrs. Pearl Leappard, a sister, also from Kansas City.
