Glenn Russell McCulla

Funeral services were held for Glenn Russell McCulla on Friday, April 14, 1967, at 2 p.m. at the Hatfield Funeral Home in Coldwater. Rev. Carl W. Carrier, minister of the Antioch Methodist church, officiated. Organist was Mrs. Clifford Blount and Marvin Plank sang "In the Garden" and "Are Ye Able?"

Pallbearers were Bob Basnett, Jim Haas, Darrol Miller, Bob Hadley, Victor Stark, and Junior Cline. Honorary pallbearers were Kenneth Cline, Frank Weber, Victor Allderice, Jim Herrington, Lynn Haas, Clifford Blount, Bill Hoffman, and Harry Lohrding.

Masonic grave side services were given by Comanche Lodge No. 295, A.F.&A.M. The Masonic lecture was given by William Dale of Protection.

Interment was in Crown Hill Cemetery, Coldwater.

Obituary.

Glenn Russell McCulla, son of Lafe W. and Mildred M. McCulla, was born in Mitchell, Iowa May 20, 1905.

He came in a covered wagon with his parents to Comanche county in May of 1 11. His parents and he settled on a farm south of Coldwater. After attending Salt Fork, Pike, and Glendale country schools, he graduated from Coldwater high in the class of 1926.

On June 4, 1927, in Pratt, Kans., he and Maude Madeline Marley were united in marriage. To this union were born two girls, Glenda Jean and Phyllis June.

Glenn was a Past Master of Comanche Lodge No. 295, A.F.&A.M., Past Patron of Order of Eastern Star No. 224, member of Wichita Consistory and Wichita Midian Temple, and the Gyp Hills Amateur Radio Club. He attended the Antioch church.

"Mike" was a man of many interests and abilities, loved life and the challenges it held.

He was preceded in death by his father, mother and sister, Helen, at the age four. He leaves his wife, Madeline, Glenda and Howard Standley of Eugene, Ore., Phyllis and John McNeely of Coldwater, Kans., five grandsons, Roy, Ryan, and Kurt Standley, Michael and Brian McNeely; two granddaughters, Mary Dawn Standley and Jari Michelle McNeely, and a host of friend and neighbors.
