Wm. McIntyre Dead

Wm. McIntyre, father of Bert McIntyre of this city died on Monday of this week at the home of his son here. Mr. McIntyre came to Protection this summer and worked here during harvest. About a month ago he was stricken with typhoid fever, and died from the effects of the disease and accompanying complications August 25, 1919. His home was at Madison, Greenwood county, Kansas, and on Tuesday morning Bert McIntyre left with the body of his father for Madison to inter it there beside the body of his mother who passed on a number of years before her husband. Mr. McIntyre was past sixty years of age, but a hale and hearty man until he became ill a month ago. He made some staunch friends while in this community and these, together with the many friends of his son and family here, sorrow with Bert in his loss of his father.
