Pvt. Donald McMillin Suffers Back Injury

Last Monday morning while Pvt. Donald McMillin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank McMillin was visiting at Jas. Thompson's home southeast of Coldwater while cattle were being branded, he thought it would be fun to help.

But when the horse which he was riding to head off a cow stopped and whirled suddenly to follow the cow, Donald was thrown to the ground.

X-Rays revealed that one vertebra was cracked and another telescoped. He is still in the Comanche County Hospital but will be taken to an army hospital soon. His commanding officer at Camp Chaffee, Ark., states.
