The Western Star, April 20, 1906.

Miss Cordie Metzker

Word was received here recently of the death of Miss Cordie Metzker at Evansville, Ind., where she had gone a few weeks before, hoping that the change would afford relief from that dread disease, consumption. Miss Cordie came to this county with the family about a year ago and had been in failing health ever since. She was optimistic and was always hopeful of recovery, at least up to within a few days before her death. She had many warm friends here who mourn her untimely death. Her mother, two sisters and a brother were with her at the time of her death. Interment was made in Indiana.

Searchlight.
