Mrs. J. L. Moore died, after a lingering illness, at the home of her parents, W. L. Dale and wife, Tuesday night, at about one a.m. Mrs. Moore had lain at the point of death for several days and she sank rapidly in the last few hours. The cause of death was the subsequent results of confinement.The funeral was held at the Dale home at 3:00, Thursday and was preached by Rev. D. C. Shields of the Methodist Church.
Mrs. Moore had lived in this section since 1886. She was a devoted mother and a highly respected woman, loved most dearly by those who were fortunate to be intimate in her friendship. She has resided on their home farm north west of Protection for several years past. Mrs. Moore was but in the prime of life when the call came from the Great Leveler and she passed into the dominion of Death beyond the river. She leaves a husband and four little daughters as well as parents and brothers and sisters to mourn her loss, To the husband and daughters the loss is indeed a great bereavement and the sincerest bereavement and sincerest sympathy is extended them. Interment will be made in the local cemetery.
