Nescatunga Enterprise, December 17, 1887.

Stable Fires

Mr. C. C. McDaniel erected a large sod stable this week to take the place of the stable burned Friday night. Charley's loss from the fire - four horses and mules - is quite heavy. We understand he intends getting horses from Harper county which he will use on the stage line.

Another stable was destroyed by fire Wednesday afternoon. This time the stable owned by Geo. B. McCrory, together with a lot of hay, fodder, etc. was accidentally fired, it is thought by children, who was playing with matches in or near the stable. Fortunately the horses were out and no losses were incurred except those mentioned above.
