The Comanche County Normal opened on Monday with a fair attendance. The interest is much better than last year and attendance larger. W. C. Lansdon, of Ft. Scott, the conductor, is a good one and the County Superintendent made an excellent hit when he secured his services. H. V. Esterling, of Cherokee county, the instructor, is also an experienced gentleman and fills the position with dignity and credit.
