Two year old Emmett Lloyd Odell of Protection died on Monday, November 7, 1994, at the Ashland District Hospital.The youngster was born at Lewistown, Montana, on March 27, 1992, and was the son of Rodney Lloyd Odell and Carmen C. Street Odell.
His parents reside in Protection. Emmett's father works with his dad, Marvin Odell, Sr., and his brother, Marvin Odell, Jr., salvaging iron and metal in the area.
Emmett was a member of the Church of Christ at Buffalo, Oklahoma.
Survivors include his parents, from Protection; a brother, Gratton C. Odell of Protection; a half brother, Dustee Odell of Goodwell, Oklahoma; a half sister, Tashina Odell of Goodwell; grandparents Marvin and Bea Odell, Sr., of Protection, Charles and Barbara Sims of Winnett, Montana, and Larry Street of Bullhead City, Arizona, and great grandparents Edward and Edna Freeland of Rye, Colorado, Margaret Thompson of Winnett, Montana and Hugh Smith of Buhl, Idaho.
Graveside services were Thursday afternoon, November 10, at Wilmore cemetery, with minister Robert Gill, Jr. officiating. Hatfield-Prusa Funeral Home of Coldwater was in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be sent to the Emmett Odell Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home. A fund has also been established at Bank of Protection to help the family with expenses.
