Once we had a fragrant blossom
Full of sweetness, full of love,
But the Angel came and plucked it
For the beauteous World above,Little Jack - he was our darling,
Pride of all the hearts at home
But the Angels softly singing
Came and whispered, "Darling Come"Oh our loved one, when we meet you
In the Joyous World above,
Gladly will we haste to greet you,
-- A friend.
