Marvin D. Plank, 88, died Apr. 6, 1996, at Stevens County Hospital in Hugoton.He was born Nov. 15, 1907, to Robert and Fannie Hartzler Plank in Shields.
A Hugoton resident since 1973, coming from Coldwater, he was a farmer, mechanic and welder.
Plank was a member of Bethel Friends Church, Hugoton, Gideons International, the Mid America Antique Tractor and Engine Association and the Hugoton Lions Club.
On June 18, 1930, he married Pearl Babcock at Lyons.
Preceding him in death were three sisters.
Survivors include his wife, of the home, one son, John and Joyce Plank of Hugoton; four daughters, Ellen and Verl Winters of Guymon, Okla., Dorothy and Carl Burkhall of Coldwater, Barbara and Darrell Hecht of Newton, and Phyllis and Delmar Kinser of Ulysses; 13 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
Funeral was Apr. 9, 1996, at the Bethel Friends Church in Hugoton, with Rev. Terrill Washington presiding and Paul's Funeral Home of Hugoton in charge of arrangements. Burial was in the Bethel Friends Cemetery in Hugoton.
Family suggests memorials be sent to Gideons International or to Barclay College, Haviland, in care of the funeral home.
