GARY MAX RANEY

Gary Max Raney was born September 11, 1938, to Floyd Monte Raney and Lillian Maybell Drake-Raney at Coldwater, Kansas. He died February 21, 1980, at the Buchanan Nursing Home in Okeene, Oklahoma.

Gary was reared in the Wilmore community. He worked for the Santa Fe railroad until ill health overcame him. He had resided at the nursing home in Okeene, Oklahoma, for the past three years.

In recent years he made contact with the Baptist minister of Okeene, making a confession of Christian Faith and was baptized and was a member of the Okeene Baptist Church.

Survivors include: his sons, Gary Jr., 16, and Timothy, 14, both of Lamont, Okla., and two sisters, Mrs. Leroy (Sherry) Shelton, Coldwater; Mrs. Jim (Charvette) Nason, of Lamont, Okla., and one brother, Gene Raney, of Coldwater.


Gary Raney is buried in the Wilmore Cemetery.
