Obituary: J. D. RAY

J. D. Ray died in this city last Wednesday evening, April 4, at 10:05 p.m. of acute phthisis (sic). The deceased has been confined to the house nearly all winter, but was not bed ridden until about a week ago. He leaves a wife and seven children to mourn his death. The remains were buried in Crown Hill cemetery yesterday.

Enlisted December 20, 1864. Age 26. Mustered February 1, 1865. Became Corporal February 1, 1865.
