DEATH OF EARL SCOTT

The community was shocked Tuesday morning to learn of the death, by suicide, of Earl Scott, son of Mrs. A. Gaddis who lives on what was formerly the Barlow ranch. The tragedy occurred about 7:30 Monday evening. No motive was known that caused him to take his life. He seemed to be in the best of spirits at supper time, but left the house shortly after, and when he did not return a search was made and the body found not far from the house.

The body was taken to a funeral home at Haviland, where short services were held Wednesday morning. It was then taken to Wichita for burial. We extend sympathy to the sorrowing relatives.
