Roy Smith of Greensburg, a retired farmer, died March 29, 1976, at Kiowa County Memorial Hospital. He was 88 years old.Mr. Smith was born April 23, 1887, in Kiowa County, the son of Isaiah Smith and Sarah Martin. He married Ethel Cobb July 23, 1913. She preceded him in death December 14, 1974. He had farmed south of Greensburg and was a life-long resident of Kiowa County. He moved into Greensburg in 1968.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Walter of Iola and Ray of Wilmore; two daughters, Mrs. Marjorie Davis of Leoti, and Mrs. Mary Hayse of Tularosa, NM; 14 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at the United Methodist Church with Rev. Richard Bowersox officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery.
Fleener Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
