YOUNG MATRON DIES SUDDENLY

Tuesday forenoon, Mrs. Thelma Thomas, bride of a year, died at their home on the ranch of Mrs. Maude King.

Mrs. Thomas died from blood poisoning and her death was unexpected until a few hours before she passed away.

Mrs. Thomas was one of the popular young matrons of the community. She was a graduate of the P. H. S. Class of 1929 and following her graduation joined her husband in making the family home on the King ranch.

Before her marriage, she was Miss Thelma Nichols, oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Nichols of the Prairie Queen neighborhood, northeast of Protection.

During her school days, she was a leader in school activities, being especially active in G. R. work.

She leaves her husband and a two weeks old baby, her parents, several brothers and sisters, a number of near relatives and a host of friends to mourn her untimely death.

The funeral conducted by her former pastor, The Rev. C. S. Hutsell of Attica, was held Thursday afternoon at 2:30 from the local Methodist Church and interment was in the local cemetery.

The Peacock mortuary was in charge.
