The Western Star, November 9, 1945.

MANY VETERANS HOME

This is the time for which we have all been waiting - when the boys come home in large numbers.

Since soon after the war started the Western Star has been printing some of the experiences of service men and women, along with several hundred of their pictures. It is impossible to ___ all of the discharged vets on the streets, and we ask returning men to help us complete our records by visiting this office and answering a few questions. And we can use more pictures, also.

Many have told us that the account of the service men which we have printed have helped the people on the home front to respond more generously to the various patriotic appeals.

These lads on the fighting front and elsewhere have earned the respect of everybody - they have earned it the hard way.
