Mrs. John Williams died at 10 o'clock a.m. on Thursday of this week, December 4, 1919, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Isaac Deyoe, ten miles northwest of Coldwater. She had been in failing health for several months, her ailment being some form of stomach trouble. During August she spent about three weeks in a Wichita hospital, but received no permanent benefit therefrom. Throughout all her sickness she was a patient sufferer, and as the end approached she manifested entire readiness for the event of death.Mr. and Mrs. Williams formerly lived on the Melvin Marley farm, but after harvest Mr. Williams returned to his former home in Charitron-co., Mo., to work, while Mrs. Williams made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Deyoe. The husband and other absent relatives - a son now stationed at Camp Taylor, Ky., and a daughter in Norwalk, Iowa - were notified and are expected to arrive here today or tomorrow. Definite announcement of the funeral arrangements had not been made at the time of going to press.
Deceased was a faithful wife and mother, a kind neighbor and true friend, and her death elicits the sincerest sympathy of all. Her age at the time of her death was 48 years, 3 months and 10 days.
