Joe Woods accompanied his parents Rev. and Mrs. J. P. Woods ofSun City to Colorado Springs Monday. Joe will return in about a week, and the others will stay for a longer time. Mr. and Mrs. Hoopes and Mrs. Gass of Anthony, Kans., friends of the Woods family, also made the trip.Miss Martha Safford of Newton who formerly lived here visited friends and attended the York funeral Tuesday.
Mr. and Mrs. Raleigh Larimer have had as guests this week Mrs. Larimer's cousin, Maxine Braggs and a friend, Loraine Boydston of Wichita.
Mrs. Lester Trummel and sons were guests at dinner last Thursday of Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Herndon.
Leslie Smith of Hillsdale, Okla., and Miss Ruth Pounds of Coldwater were Sunday guests at the F. Smith home.
Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Pendergraft attended the rodeo at Doby Springs, Okla., Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Jenkins and son, Robert have been moving their household goods and farming equipment to the Bruce Snare farm in the Nescatunga neighborhood. We are sorry to lose this family from the Wilmore community.
Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Cooper and baby moved from Coldwater last Saturday to one of the Albert Oller residences here. The Clyde Denny family who had been living there moved to the Larimer property in the north part of town.
Miss Dorothy Lawler who had spent a week at the Pete Cole home south of Coldwater returned to Wilmore Sunday. She spent the day at the Harold Wood home. Dorothy will be a student at
W. H. S. this winter.Everett Fisher of Bucklin came to Wilmore Tuesday and from here was accompanied by his aunt, Mrs. Maggie Fisher to Winfield, called there by the death of his mother, Mrs. Anna Fisher. Funeral services were held in Wichita with burial in Lafontaine, Kansas.
Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Barber and children were called to Madison, Kans., last Friday morning by the illness of Mrs. Barber's father,
Rev. Burrill. They arrived only a few hours before he passed over.H. Manahan of Cunningham spent the first of the week here papering the rooms in the house Valtos Richardson had moved to town. While here he was the guest of his daughter, Mrs. Oscar Barber and family.
After a two weeks visit at his home in McPherson, Coach Harold Johnston returned to Wilmore Monday.
Mrs. Emma Trummel of Coldwater is visiting this week with her sons, Ord and Alva and families in the Ridge Summit community. Mrs. Trummel who sustained a broken hip bone last fall is able to walk by pushing a chair ahead of her.
Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Austin visited their son Jack and other relatives at the Shupe ranch Sunday evening returning home Monday morning.
On Sunday of last week a family dinner complimentary of Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Lawler and daughter Dorothy of Octave, Ariz., was held. Beside the honor guests others present were Mr. and Mrs. Pete Coles and family of Coldwater. Mrs. J. L. Kluttz, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Booth and Fred, and Mr. and Mrs. Richardson and daughter, Charlotte.
